Devesh Nirmul is a leader within the energy, sustainability and resiliency space with demonstrated experiences in government and public policy, residential and commercial real estate / property management and sustainability focused non-profit organizations. He works on expanding the PACE Market in Florida, creating value-driven financing solutions for commercial building ownerships and their trusted advisors and engages relevant non-profit organizations on the strategic use of PACE financing to accelerate the uptake of energy and resiliency investments amongst private building owners.
He has served in a variety of leadership positions within the PACE industry, recently authored a private owner/investor chapter for “Optimizing Community Infrastructure: Resilience in the Face of Shocks and Stresses” as well as several chapters for BOMI’s High-Performance Sustainable Building Investments Coursebook, managed the roll-out of the Chicago Commercial Building Energy Initiative with the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) including Energy Master Planning for several building ownerships, was the Energy and Sustainability Director at North America’s largest Residential Property Management Firm, FirstService Residential (FSR), started the Miami-Dade County Office of Sustainability where he managed the implementation of $12.5M of Energy Block Grant funds and spearheaded the County’s GreenPrint Sustainability Plan and Green Buildings program, was University of Florida / Pinellas County Extension’s first Urban Sustainability Agent in the State of Florida and consulted on climate change mitigation and adaptation solutions for the US Agency of International Development (USAID).
Devesh brings a mix of science, policy and strategy to the firm and sustains his effectiveness by maintaining globally recognized industry credentials. He is an accredited LEED AP, a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Certified Sustainable Development Professional (CSDP).
